Apache Says Port Used By System
Last Updated 8 years ago
Please find the following instructions for the most common issue:
http://solutionhelpdesk.com/pdf/easywplocalhost/how-to-disable-branchcache.pdf
And if that doesn't work, this is the second most common issue:
http://solutionhelpdesk.com/pdf/easywplocalhost/how-to-disable-iis.pdf
If Branchcache and IIS are not the issue, then we need to find out what is using port 80. You can find out specific instructions by googling your specific system (eg. Yosemite, Windows 10) then "how to find out what is using port 80". Whatever you find will need to be disabled or moved to an alternative port - which is usually very easy.
Only one server can run at a time, so if you have been using Xampp, please make sure it is disabled and restart your services.
