I'm Getting A Warning About 'Harming My Computer' And 'Putting My PC At Risk' When I Try To Install?
Last updated 7 months ago

Our products are safe to install.

Microsoft has a system called SmartScreen that may trigger warnings when you download and install any new software. It may report messages such as "This program is not commonly downloaded and could harm your computer." or "Windows protected your PC. Windows SmartScreen prevented an unrecognized app from starting. Running this app might put your PC at risk."

These false warnings about security are common for all newly released software applications and updates. This warning will eventually go away as more folks download and install the software.

Here are some detailed installation instructions to help you install on Windows:

To Install on Windows 7
1. When your browser reports that our file is "not commonly downloaded and could harm your computer." Click on "Actions"
2. Click on "Run anyway"
3. Continue with the installation instructions.

To Install on Windows 8 and Later
1. When Windows reports "Windows protected your PC. Windows SmartScreen prevented an unrecognized app from starting. Running this app might put your PC at risk."
2. Click on "More info" to reveal other options.
3. Click on the "Run anyway" button
4. Continue with the installation instructions.

As always, please contact us if you should have any problems or questions with installation.
